Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015: 10 reasons why we are in love with ‘Diffusion’ By Raghavendra Rathore

#LakmeFashionWeek #Summer/Resort2015 in association with #Jabong at Palladium Hotel, Mumbai on Day 5 witnessed the unveiling of ace designer #RaghavendraRathore’s S/R’15 show concluding the Indian Handlooms and Textiles Day with the celebration of India’s rich heritage and textiles.

High on captivating the audience; we bring you top 10 Highlights of the Show.
1. From diffusion to bespoke dressing and promotion of rural crafts, the slick display featured a unique presentation of the “brand vision” for the coming season from the design house of Raghavendra Rathore was unveiled in 3 capsules, a first of its kind presentation where brands and labels, whether couture or ready-to-wear were showcased on the same platform. 

2. The collection was a fine amalgamation of the bespoke/customer clothing menswear label that Raghavendra is known for.  

3. Indian Youth Icon #RiteishDeshmukh was the showstopper of the evening for ace designer #RaghavendraRathore. He mesmerized the audience as he made his way from the ramp to our heart at his unfaltering best in a royal dapper style in a brocade Nehru jacket, navy blue kurta paired white churidars.

4.The runway saw the Launch of a ready to wear designer diffusion label -‘The Imperial India Company’ (IIC)[Capsule1] inspired by the British Raj and flaunted stately cuts & hues. The line featured a refreshing insight into aristocratic styling fused in contemporary wear on the LFW runway.   

5. IIC was sequentially followed by an introduction to the #RaghavendraRathore Foundation[Capsule2] to celebrate the Indian Handlooms and Textiles Day and at the same time dedicating a line for a humanitarian initiative aimed to give the disadvantaged support, a stable livelihood and promote rural handicraft.  

6. And at last a bespoke collection by the parent brand ‘Raghavendra Rathore’ [Capsule3]was showcased with traditional looks blended into modern day elegance, which the designer unveiled to a very appreciative audience.  

 

7. The regal and sophisticated collection showcased a marked elegance in gold, red, pink, blue, green, purple, fuchsia, navy, black and white Jodhpuri trousers and bandgala jackets, the male models then stripped down to white T-shirts with the slogan “Je Suis L’Amour” written on them.   

8. The silhouettes ranged from Wide dhoti salwars, angarkhas, tuxedos, kurta pajamas, shirts and variations of Raghavendra Rathore trademark classic Bandhgalas in finest of silks striking an extravagant appearance on the runway. 

9. Colour pallette was teamed in the form of brown bundi with orange kurta, a spark of white cuffs for mandarin collar shirt, dapper Pathani suit, sherwani with pink cuffs and black velvet collar, white tuxedo with satin shawl lapel,which served as perfect wardrobe treats this season.  

10. The show was truly the epitome of resplendence and showcased timeless sophistication. Everything was very hypnotic and added frenzy and excitement to the aura.
